When you administer the PFT, do you hold the events in any particular order? If so, what order and why?

Normally we conduct PT once a month( 3rd Meeting of the month). We have no "set" order but we have developed a normale routine. Seperate into 2 groups. 1 group does Push ups and Sit ups and the other does thier run...then they swap. But it does not always work due to the alititude.

We also conduct CPFT once a month (2nd Monday). During the summer when we can do CPFT outdoors we do it in one group, during the winter indoors we split into two groups. Generally we do the run first to get it out of the way. Then do pushups, sit-ups, and the site and reach. Because you have to wait 3 seconds between each pushup I prefer to get them done before the sit-ups because the pushups require more energy than sit-ups. I haven’t really had the opportunity to see if this helps increase scores or not but it may, I don’t know.

In my experience, we score better if we do the pushups/situps before the run. We normally do sit&reach after the run, because the leg muscles are warm and we can stretch farther.
