Vote and Discuss.
I say yes - there is no reason for removing them, and they promote pride in your wing, as well as getting rid of the endless question, "what wing are you from?" Laughing

I say no....having less on the blues uniform, patch wise, makes the uniform look better in my mind.

Throughout my experience in CAP, i've seen that uniforms come back to full circle, so I wouldn't be surprised if we saw them being put back on the blues sometime in the future. as for my preference, yeah I kinda liked them lol. but now that they are off the the blues it would a pain to have to put them back on.

The fact that there are more than 50 wing patches can get confusing. When we are at a national conference they all begin to look way different. If we are going to wear a shoulder patch, why not wear a CAP one? Or at least a region one, there is no use in 50+ patches. Take it from me, I was in the Army, and we change patches with every unit, and it is CRAZY. Not to mention, ripping them off for new one causes "scars" in the fabric. I realize the occurance of patch change here is not as much, but it does happen...

Wing patches promote pride in your wing, and they also get rid of that annoying question, "what wing are you from", that you hear at every NCSA or other multi-wing activity. Trust me, it gets old. Rolling Eyes

I've been to six NCSA's and I think the only question concerning wing patches that is really asked is "whats that supposed to be"? Hey, if we dont wear patches, you will have to ask quesitons and get to know each other!

I'm not sure I've ever actually been asked when I didn't wear my patch. Personally, I don't mind answering questions, it means I am socializing. I feel that because of the advance in technology, teens don't do that as much any more.
